I paint.
With intense concentration, I work on a small board panel of 4x6cm (approx 1.5 x 2.75 inches) using delicate paint brushes comprising two or three hairs. Alternatively, with the canvas balanced on the easel I use long elegant paint brushes in the style of a sword fencer; the concentration is the same as in the former, the technique its polar extreme. A case of perception, consideration and action.
Timing and time, training yourself and searching for the movements that are both pleasurable and fitting; my technique learnt by observing athletes and musicians. By listening to them. Painting is physical work. I give shape to what fascinates me, to my obsessions, because beauty heals and I want to delight the eye.
